Purpose
Prepares learners to become Child and Youth Care Workers who support the holistic development and well-being of vulnerable children and youth through therapeutic care and professional interventions.

Qualification Components

Entry Requirements
- NQF Level 3 with Communication.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is accepted.

International Comparability
While no equivalent exists in Africa, similar qualifications are offered in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The South African qualification aligns well in terms of content and depth.
